About the club

Darley Dale Croquet Club was formed in 2008 when the idea of providing an activity facility in Whitworth Park for the people of Darley Dale, led to the idea for them to learn to play croquet .

Since that time members have come from a much wider area to participate in the fun and competitiveness that this sport can provide.

Men and women of all ages can play on equal terms and so all are welcome to join us. The club plays Golf Croquet which requires 2, 3 or 4 people for a game. There is also a version called Association Croquet but we do not play that at Darley Dale.

Throughout the year we hold social events such as our New Year lunch, pub meals, curry evening, summer garden party and events on the courts.
