Not sure if croquet is the sport for you?
Even if you’ve never set foot on a croquet lawn, we hold an open day during the season so you can come along and see what the game is like but you are welcome at any Club Day – just come along and make yourself known to those who are playing.
We’ll provide all the equipment and any instruction that you need. You just need to wear some flat-soled shoes and we’ll have you playing really quickly.
Playing Times
Club days are all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday . We usually play from April to October but this can be extended if the ground is still suitable for play. As most of our members tend to play in the afternoon it would be better for newcomers to arrive after 2pm to ensure somebody is available to give you instruction.
The Whitworth Tea Rooms are a favourite place to adjourn to after a good game.
